You're standing at the back of the tapestry

Short version

I did a reading yesterday for "Marit", and I want to share what came out of it.

Marit told me her life was falling apart, except it wasn't 😊 She was simply standing far too close to see it properly, nose pressed right up against the back of a half-finished tapestry: nothing but knots, tangled threads and no visible pattern.

When I checked with her Helpers, they showed me the tapestry from the front. The knots aren't mistakes; they're what holds the whole picture together.

If your life looks like chaos right now, it might just mean you're standing too close to judge it, not that you're failing.

Don't bother trying to hold every single thread or undo every knot, lovely Facebook people. That isn't the point of it anyway.

Long version

I'm sharing this because I hear a version of it almost every week, overwhelmingly from women, not men.

Marit told me her life was falling apart, that everything was slipping through her fingers. She wasn't exaggerating; she's usually the one holding the whole family together. She just wasn't in as bad a position as she felt she was. She was simply standing in the wrong place to see it properly.

I've used this metaphor before, but it explains things so well that it's worth repeating.

Think of your life as a tapestry still sitting in the loom, and picture yourself standing right up against the back of it. That's where Marit has been standing.

From behind, all any of us can see are knots, frayed ends and threads crossing each other with no obvious pattern. It looks like a jumble, because up close, in the middle of the weaving, that's exactly what it is.

When I connected to her Helpers, they didn't tell her to relax, breathe into her belly, or say "everything happens for a reason" (thank God). They showed me her tapestry from the front.

From there, the knots are load-bearing. They're the reason the bright parts actually look bright. The knots aren't mistakes. They're what holds it all together.

If all you can see right now are knots, that doesn't mean you're failing. It might simply mean you're standing too close to see clearly.

Nobody weaves a flawless tapestry. There's no such thing. And nobody except you expects one either.

What I said to Marit, and what I'd say to you: stop trying to undo twenty knots in one evening. Just pick one, work on that thread, and leave the rest exactly as tangled as they are. Nobody expects the next ten years to be unpicked by bedtime.

Step back from the loom if you need to. It isn't going to fall apart the second you turn your back. It's held together far longer than you give it (or yourself) credit for.

Have an extra brilliant week, lovely folks 🥰

Advert: READINGS COST 1,500kr. They are personal, specific and detailed. I make a point of writing down exactly what I see; I don't change it in any way to make it easier to read. Every reading is longer than 2 A4 pages and takes at least two hours to write. I give each reading the respect it deserves and the time it needs, whether that's two hours or six. I've worked as a psychic, medium and healer for nearly thirty years, I love what I do, and I'm proud of it. If you'd like a reading, send me a message on Messenger and we'll take it from there. If you're feeling brave, Vipps to number 469 46 054 and send me a message afterwards. I work through each reading in the order it comes in. Hope your week's going well, Facebook folks!
