The future I show you is just today, carried on

Short version

People often ask me to predict their future, and quite often what I show them is something they don't like.

The fix for changing the future isn't always a dramatic about-turn in your life. It's usually something almost embarrassingly small.

Long version

Almost everybody who's asked me to look into their future lately has received their reading with a WARNING: "You might not like what I see."

Nobody really wants to hear this, but I'll say it anyway. I don't look into the future to check whether you're going to be rich, happy or divorced by autumn. That isn't what it's for.

What the future actually shows is far more useful. It shows what's going to happen if you carry on doing exactly what you're doing right now. No changes, no wake-up calls. Just today, carried forward.

And believe it or not, that's the warning, and it's frighteningly accurate.

Most people assume I'm giving them a prophecy, and in a way I am, but more importantly I'm giving them a heads-up. And a heads-up is only useful if you're actually paying attention, because it gives you the chance to do something about it.

The future isn't carved in stone, folks. It's a sentence in a book you're still writing, one choice at a time. Write a different word tomorrow from the one you wrote today, and that's usually enough to end up somewhere completely different a few (pages) weeks later.

When people set out to change their future, most go straight for the dramatic version: quit the job, end the relationship, move to another country. They want the big, loud about-turn, all at once.

Don't do it! That's a recipe for disaster, and I'll advise you against it almost every single time.

Big changes demand an enormous amount of you all at once, and just as much from everybody around you. That's why it's so horribly easy to talk yourself out of them before the weekend's over. Your ego sees a big change coming from a mile off, and it will fight back.

Small changes don't trip the same alarm. One less cup of coffee, a five-minute walk, going to bed twenty minutes earlier. None of that looks like a solemn declaration to give up caffeine, climb a mountain or be asleep by 10pm, so none of it shows up on your ego's radar.

Make that small change a couple of times a week, over a few weeks, and you'll suddenly find yourself somewhere completely different, without having gone through any big dramatic reckoning at all.

Keep making changes people barely notice, you beautiful Facebook lot, until suddenly they do 😁

Advert: READINGS COST 1,500kr. They are personal, specific and detailed. I make a point of writing down exactly what I see; I don't change it in any way to make it easier to read. Every reading is longer than 2 A4 pages and takes at least two hours to write. I give each reading the respect it deserves and the time it needs, whether that's two hours or six. I've worked as a psychic, medium and healer for nearly thirty years, I love what I do, and I'm proud of it. If you'd like a reading, send me a message on Messenger and we'll take it from there. If you're feeling brave, Vipps to number 469 46 054 and send me a message afterwards. I work through each reading in the order it comes in. Hope your week's going well, Facebook folks!
