What if you went? What if you finally asked? What if you moved to that town? What if you rented out the house and spent a year in (insert place name here)? What if you just walked out of the job? What if you actually had a deep, personal, spiritual experience?

So what!?

You know exactly how that conversation goes. You've had it a thousand times in your own head. And so far you've found plenty of reasons not to do it.

Those what-ifs don't move. They just sit there waiting for you either to act, or to let another year go by.

BUT, all you brilliant, curious Facebook people: you owe it to yourself to find out. Not your partner. Not your boss. Not the family's expectations. You owe it to yourself. To your one, individual, priceless life.

And if it doesn't work out? If you fail? Then you've still done something most people never will. You've LIVED instead of wondered.

That spirit you are, the priceless soul that is you, desperately hopes you'll do something different, something new, something that proves you're alive and that your life has been worth the whole effort.

For nearly thirty years I've been doing readings for people, and this what-if question comes up again and again.

You all know I don't sugar-coat my readings, that I say things exactly as I see them. So here's my answer to the what-if question:

F*ck! What if you don't?

The consequence of NOT doing it, whatever "it" is, is so much worse. Stop worrying about whether you'll succeed or what the aftermath will look like. Worry instead about whether you're going to carry this what-if around until it turns into pure regret.
