New year's resolutions in August, because the school year says so

New year's resolutions in August? School starts again soon!

I do not know about the rest of you, but possibly because I still have children at school, my year seems to revolve around the school calendar far more than it does January to December.

So, with the new school year in mind, I have decided to make two new year's resolutions. They might look like odd resolutions to have, given the life I live and the work I do, but they mean something to me.

I have decided to go back to first principles and take a bit of my own medicine.

So I am going to deliberately think less (I can hear Mrs Milton-Jones laughing and saying, is that even possible?) and feel more. I am going to use my intuition to make decisions far more than I have been doing. This is a good thing, because it automatically invites your inner self to take part in normal, everyday life.

The second resolution is going to sting a bit. I have decided to spend at least two hours every week working with my helpers to strengthen my connection with the spirit world.

Phew.

It will sting because this is something my main helper, Edward, has been trying to get me to do for years. There is no doubt at all that he is going to be more than a little pedantic about holding me to this decision.

Working with my helpers is something I do every day, especially given the work I do. But working with them specifically to strengthen my connection with the spirit world is a different thing altogether.

I used to do this a great deal, and I found that I was less stressed, received better and more detailed information, and generally felt much better about myself — more relaxed, more confident, less attached to the daily noise.

I also found it was easier to be a part of the other side, the spirit world. It is a strange and complicated place, and much bigger than you can imagine, but that is not something we need to talk about now.

Well, happy Friday, Facebook folk. I hope you all have a relaxing weekend.

Have a good one :-)
