A spirit touched me this morning. And I burst into tears.

I've lived with "Marit" for several years, but today was different. She didn't just turn up; she put her hand on my shoulder and let me know she understands how tough things are right now.

I'm a medium, but I'm also a human being. Sometimes we all need reminding that we aren't alone.

Long version

There's a woman in my house who isn't Mrs Milton-Jones.

I've seen her wandering about for the last few years, and I know who she is. I've no objection to her being here, and she never causes any bother. My children never see her, and it isn't all that often she sits down and is sociable with me. But the times she does, it's lovely.

This morning was different.

This lady (we can call her Marit) made an effort to let me know she was there. Marit followed me into the bedroom, and when I sat down she put her hand on my shoulder and smiled.

I felt her hand in a physical way, almost like when you touch me. And when she did it, I burst into tears. Yes, me. Tears!

Marit wanted me to know she was there, and with her smile she said she understood that life is a bit tough at the moment.

I'm used to feeling the (dead) people around me, and sometimes I feel them physically, but it doesn't happen often. So when Marit made the effort, used her energy in a physical way and put her hand on my shoulder, it meant a great deal.

I'm lucky to have such a good connection with the spirit world, and I make a point of not abusing it. I'm not special; plenty of you reading this will have had similar experiences over the years.

But having this experience, right now, from somebody I don't know all that well... it was lovely :-)

It's a reminder that even when we think we're alone, cut off from the world we thought we knew, that isn't necessarily the case.
